31st December 2025 Multisport - Trip Report: Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered: End of 2025 Summary. Continued to mostly wingfoil as suits my local beach. Not such good winds this year, down to 171 days from 189 and 204 last two years. June and August were best (21 days), and cold December easterlies worst (7). Starting to think Global Warming might not be good aftercall. Local beach getting a bit rougher, better for winging knee/thigh swells. Winging - moved from75l + 90l boards to a single 75l mid-length late in the year, and from 5.2m + 6m wings to a single 5.5m, keeping 4.5m, 3.8m and 3.5m. Using 900 HA foil more on local beach,1085 for very light winds, and keeping 800MA for bigger waves. I find winging hard and sometimes feel I am going backwards, too much ingrained windsurfing, and alternate footswap or toeside so ended up doing neither well enough. The rapid growth of two years ago has flattened off, and some of those with less time that didn’t progress as much as hoped are less keen. On the other hand some are zooming ahead riding big waves, jumping and doing all sorts of tricks Kitesurfing – I retired the knackered 9m kite and got a 10m I hope to drift in local waves. Windsurfing - windsurf when windy/waves at Rhosneigr and too windy to wing local beach. Dinghy - 0 days as often too much shore dump with sandbanks driving new currents. Sessions (191) - Windsurfing (7), Kite surfing (6), Wing Boarding (167), Wakeboard/foiling (11)), plus a few SUPs and kayaks. Windsurf: sails - 3.7m (2), 4.2m (4), 4.7m (1); boards - Tabou DaCurve Quad 86l (5), Goya Custom Pro Quad 94l (3). For second year didn’t windsurf 94l FSW Kode and 6m, tried once but wind died before I hit the water. Kitessurf: kites - 9m (1, then scrapped), 10m (1), 12m (4);boards - Goodboards Crossbay 137x41.4cm (6). Wingfoil: wings – 3.5m (14), 3.8m (45), 4.5m (55), 5.2m (54, sold), 5.5m (2), 6m (67, sold), 7m (2, sold); boards: Armstrong 90l (55, sold), Fanatic 75l (86, sold), Armstrong 75l mid-length (23); foils – Fanatic 1085 (23), Duotone 750 (74, selling), Duotone 900 (70), Duotone 800 (25).
